Overnight Oats Recipe - Blueberry & Dark Chocolate

These overnight oats are a healthy make-ahead breakfast. They are super easy to prepare and PERFECT for busy mornings!

Overnight Oats

Prep Time: 5 mins

Total Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  1. 1/2 cup Rolled Oats

  2. 3/4 cup Liquid (water or use your favorite milk - my favorite is almond milk!)

  3. 1 tbsp Chia Seeds

  4. 15g Dark Chocolate Chips

  5. 1/4 cup Blueberries

Mix-ins

  1. 1-2 tbsp Nut Butter

  2. 1-2 tbsp Sweetener (honey, maple syrup, sugar)

  3. 1/2 cup Yogurt

Toppings

  1. Blueberries

  2. Coconut Flakes

How to make:

Combine all ingredients. Start by adding the rolled old fashioned oats with your favorite milk and /or greek yogurt into a Mason jar, resealable container or a bowl. (I use 16oz jars because I like to super load my oats!) Next, flavor with fruit, chia seeds, and sweetener or spices. Mix or shake all the ingredients together. Then, let chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight. ENJOY!!

SOME TIPS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Chill Time - Chill for a minimum of 4 hours. Your oatmeal needs time in the fridge to thicken up and soak to perfection.

  • Make it Creamier - If you like your oatmeal on the creamier side, you can add more milk. You can also crank up the creaminess by adding Greek yogurt. If you like your oatmeal on the chunkier side, add a little less milk.

  • Mix-ins Vs. Toppings - Any fruit that won’t get mushy can be added directly into the mason jar with the oats, milk, and chia seeds. Toppings include any add-ins that should stay crispy or crunchy.

  • Don’t Have a Jar? - If you don’t have a jar on hand, you can use any bowl or container with a lid.

  • Serve Cold or Warm - You can eat your oatmeal straight from the fridge or warm it up first. Overnight oats can be reheated on the stove or the microwave.
